SHETLAND

Ages 4-6

Introductory, T-ball and machine-pitch baseball on a small diamond. This level focuses on instruction of beginning players. A safety/reduced-injury-factor (RIF) ball is used. Bases are 50 feet apart, and there are no leads and no steals. Teams are formed by the league (no draft). Players can expect one practice a week and games on the weekend. An all-star team (traveling) may be selected at the end of the season.

PINTO

Ages 6-7

Machine-pitch baseball focusing on basic fundamentals of the gameBases are 60 feet apart. A reduced-injury-factor (RIF) ball is used. There are no leads and no steals. Teams are formed by draft. Players can expect up to 3 baseball “events” (i.e. practices or games) per week during the season. All-star teams (traveling) are selected at the end of the season.

MUSTANG

Ages 8-9

Player-pitch baseball on a larger diamond. Bases are 60 feet apart, and the pitcher pitches from a distance of 46 feet. Stealing is allowed once the ball leaves the pitcher’s hand, and there is no dropped third strike rule. Regular season teams are formed by draft. Players can expect up to 3 baseball “events” (i.e. practices or games) per week during the season. All-star teams (traveling) are selected at the end of the season.

BRONCO

Ages 11-12

Player-pitch baseball with the full MLB rule book, including passed balls and dropped third strikes. Bases are 70 feet apart, and the pitching distance is 48 feet. Regular season teams are formed by draft. Players can expect up to 3 baseball “events” (i.e. practices or games) per week during the season. All-star teams (traveling) are selected at the end of the season.

PONY

Ages 13-14

Teams play on the age-appropriate 54’/80′ diamond, and by the full MLB rule book.Based at beautiful Mackenzie Park, teams will play intra- and inter-league games.
